The KamAZ-65111 ( Russian КамАЗ-65111 ) is a four -wheel drive truck produced by the KAMAZ plant in Naberezhnye Chelny . The vehicle has been in series production since 2003 and is very similar to the KamAZ-55111 without all-wheel drive. The model differs from him, in addition to the all-wheel drive, mainly through an increased payload, a modified tipper body and other engines.

vehicle description

KamAZ-65111 in Khanti-Mansiysk (2015)

The vehicle was offered under the name KamAZ-53228 as a chassis with a flatbed structure since 1989. The production of dump trucks of the type KamAZ-65111 began using the chassis in 2003. It differs from its predecessor without all-wheel drive, the KamAZ-55111 in several important ways. The revised tipping skip now holds 8.2 cubic meters of cargo. The payload was increased from 13 to 14 tons. Through the use of all-wheel drive, the top speed was reduced to 80 km / h. First, the engine of the KamAZ-55111 was installed with a slight increase in performance. It now developed 260 hp (191 kW) instead of the previous 240 hp (176 kW). However, since the unit with just under eleven liters of displacement only complied with the EURO 2 emissions standard , it is no longer available today.

As of 2016, the vehicles are still being delivered with engines from KAMAZ's in-house production. The output has been increased again and is now 280 PS (206 kW). By increasing the piston stroke by ten millimeters, the displacement increased to just under twelve liters. However, thanks to various other modernizations, the eight-cylinder diesel engine now meets the EURO 4 emissions standard. The gearbox is also manufactured in-house and not, as is the case with the manufacturer's other trucks, from Western European suppliers.
