The KamAZ-43253 ( Russian КамАЗ-43253 ) is a truck produced by the KAMAZ plant in Naberezhnye Chelny . The vehicle has been built in series at least since 2001 and is located above the KamAZ-4308 . With the KamAZ-43255 , a variant of the truck is also offered as a tipper.

When exactly the series production began is unclear. The manufacturer has been offering the truck since at least 2001. In addition to being a flatbed truck, the truck also serves as a substructure for some other machines. These include a mobile crane , tanker trucks , garbage trucks and fire engines.
The manufacturer equips the truck with the same technology as the lighter KamAZ-4308. The six-cylinder diesel engine comes from Cummins Engine and has an output of 242 hp (178 kW). Alternatively, a version with just 185 hp is offered, also with a Cummins engine. In earlier vehicles, engines from the same manufacturer with an output of 210 hp (154 kW) were also installed, as well as engines from our own production with 240 hp (176 kW). A model from the German supplier ZF Friedrichshafen serves as the gearbox . It has six gears and is shifted manually.
The vehicle is designed for local traffic and accordingly has no sleeping accommodation for the driver.
