Kasatschinskoje ( Russian Казачинское ) is a village (selo) in the Irkutsk Oblast in Russia with 2,624 inhabitants (14 October 2010).
geography
The place is about 500 km as the crow flies north-northeast of the Irkutsk Oblast Administrative Center on the eastern edge of the Lena Angara plateau . It is located on the right bank of the right arm of the Lena tributary, Kirenga .
Kasatschinskoje is the administrative center Rajons Kasatschinsko-Lenski and seat of the rural community posselenije Kasatschinskoje selskoje, (km 2 north) which also includes the villages Beryozovka Ispiriticha (2 km south), Konez Lug (5 km NNE) and Pausok (3 km south) include .
history
The village was founded in 1776 by Cossacks as a military post in the area that has been populated mainly by Evenks since the 16th century ; the place name (from Russian kasaki for "Cossacks") also refers to this .
On June 26, 1926 was the administrative seat of him as Kasatschinski named Rajons initially held by the okrugs Kirensk of Irkutsk Oblast. On December 3, 1930, all okrug of the oblast were dissolved and the Rajon was renamed into its current form ( -Lenski vom Lena River).

After Kasatschinskoje the regional road leads 25N-018 which km southwest to in about 13 urban-type settlement Magistralny of teeing 25K-016 ranging from Ust-Kut Coming continue on Severobaikalsk by Novy Uoyan in the neighboring Republic of Buryatia the route of the Baikal Amur Magistrale (BAM) follows. In Magistralny, BAM's Kirenga train station is at 889 km from Taischet . There is a connection to the west via the 25K-016 towards Bratsk and via the 25N-008, which branches off 25 km south-east of Magistralny, towards Schigalowo - Irkutsk.
On the western edge of the town there is a small airfield ( ICAO code UITK ). There is a jetty at the Kirenga.
