Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon is surrounded by the neighboring communities Aurec-sur-Loire in the north, Pont-Salomon in the east, Monistrol-sur-Loire in the south, Bas-en-Basset in the south-west and Malvalette in the west and north-west.
