La Vicomté-sur-Rance ( Kerveskont in Breton ) is a French commune with 1,057 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Côtes-d'Armor department in the Brittany region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dinan and the Canton of Pleslin-Trigavou . The residents call themselves Vicomtois (es) .

geography

La Vicomté-sur-Rance is located on the Rance , about 18 kilometers south of Saint-Malo in the northeast of the Côtes-d'Armor department. The Allée couverte du Bois du Rocher is a gallery grave east of the hamlet of La Ganterie, between Saint-Hélen and La Vicomté-sur-Rance.

history

The parish was created in 1878 from parts of the municipality of Pleudihen-sur-Rance .
