Lancieux ( Breton : Lanseeg ; Gallo : Lansioec ) is a French municipality with 1510 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dinan and the Canton of Pleslin-Trivagou (until 2015: Canton Ploubalay ). The inhabitants are called Lancieutins .
geography
Lancieux is on the emerald coast of the English Channel . The Frémur river borders the municipality to the east and flows into the sea here. Lancieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Briac-sur-Mer in the east and Ploubalay in the south.
The former route nationale 786 (today's D786) runs through the municipality .
