Le Hinglé ( An Hengleuz in Breton ) is a French commune with 903 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Côtes-d'Armor department in the Brittany region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dinan and the Canton of Lanvallay . The residents call themselves Hingléziens / Hingléziennes .
geography
Le Hinglé is located about 29 kilometers south-southwest of Saint-Malo and about 43 kilometers northwest of Rennes in the east of the Côtes-d'Armor department.
history
The parish was part of the Dinan District from 1793 to 1801. It was also part of the canton of Plumaudan from 1793 to 1801 and part of the canton of Dinan-Ouest from 1801 to 2015 . Since 1801 is administratively assigned to the Arrondissement Dinan. First mention of Le Hinglé as La Higneyo in the 14th century.
