history
It was not until 1264 that the present-day location emerged from the darkness of history in a document from the Abbey of Saint-Aubin-des-Bois. Various names such as Sainte-Croix, L'Hôpital and Village du Temple attest to the possession of the Crusaders (Johanniter). From 1793 to 1801 the community belonged to the Lamballe district and the canton of Hénanbihen. It has been part of the Dinan arrondissement since 1801. And from 1801 to 2015 it was a municipality in the canton of Matignon . On March 15, 1826, Pléboulle ceded the villages of Vieilles Portes and Bois-Talva to the commune of Saint-Pôtan . In addition, there is also an exchange of territory with the municipality of Matignon .
