Center of Broons

Broons ( Breton : Bronn ; Gallo : Bron is a) French municipality with 2886 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . Broons is the capital of the canton Broons , which belongs to the Arrondissement of Dinan . The inhabitants are called Broonais .

geography

The municipality is located about 21 kilometers southwest of the city of Dinan and about 48 kilometers northwest of Rennes . The Rosette flows through the municipality on the northern edge, the Frémeur in the south. Broons is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Trémeur in the north, Trédias in the north and northeast, Yvignac-la-Tour in the east and northeast, Caulnes in the east and southeast, Plumaugat in the south, Lanrelas in the southwest and Sévignac in the west and northwest.

The National Route 12 runs through the municipality from Rennes to Saint-Brieuc . The station is on the Paris – Brest railway line .
