Plouër-sur-Rance ( Breton : Plouhern ) is a French municipality with 3,531 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dinan and the Canton of Pleslin-Trigavou . The inhabitants are called Plouërais .
geography
Plouër-sur-Rance is located about nine kilometers north-northeast of Dinan on the Rance estuary . Plouër-sur-Rance is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Langrolay-sur-Rance in the north, La Ville-ès-Nonais in the northeast, Pleudihen-sur-Rance in the east, La Vicomté-sur-Rance in the southeast, Saint-Samson-sur- Rance in the south, Pleslin-Trigavou in the west and Pleurtuit in the northwest. The national route 176 runs through the municipality .
