a The game was originally supposed to take place on October 26, 1960, but due to heavy rain the Torquay United place was unplayable, the game was postponed to November 2, 1960 and played in Plymouth's Home Park. Technically, however, this was still a home game for Torquay, so the second leg was played according to the rules in Plymouth.
