League Cup 1991/92

The 1991/92 League Cup was the 32nd edition of the English League Cup , which had existed since 1960 .

The competition started on August 20, 1991 with the first round and ended on April 12, 1992 with the final at Wembley . The title went to last year's finalists Manchester United with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest . After two final defeats (1983 and 1991) United won the League Cup for the first time.
