League Cup 1993/94

The 1993/94 League Cup was the 34th edition of the English League Cup , which had existed since 1960 .

The competition started on August 16, 1993 with the first round and ended on March 27, 1994 with the final at Wembley . The title went to Aston Villa with a 3-1 win over Manchester United in the final . The club from Birmingham won the league cup for the fourth time after 1961, 1975 and 1977. United won the double in the further course of the season , by winning the FA Cup 1993/94 and the Premier League 1993/94 .
