The men's 110-meter hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in 1993 took place on August 19 and 20, 1993 in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart .

In this competition, the British hurdlers achieved a double victory. World champion was the Olympic runner-up in 1992 , World Cup third in 1987 and reigning European champion Colin Jackson . In the final he set a new world record with 12.91 seconds. He won before the World Cup -third of 1991 and Vice European Champion 1990 Tony Jarrett . Bronze went to Jack Pierce, who won the US Olympic bronze medal in 1992 and was runner-up in 1991 .

Record improvement

The British world champion Colin Jackson improved the existing world championship record in the final on August 20th with a tail wind of 0.5 m / s by fifteen hundredths of a second to 12.91 s. In doing so, he also improved the new existing world record by a hundredth of a second.

Preliminary round
