The men's triple jump at the 1999 World Athletics Championships was held on August 23 and 25, 1999 in the Olympic Stadium in the Spanish city ​​of Seville .

The German Charles Friedek became world champion . He won before the Bulgarian European Championship third in 1998 Rostislaw Dimitrov . 39 participants competed in two groups for the qualifying round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 17.00 m. Six athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the six next-placed athletes to twelve throwers (highlighted in light green).
