Linn County is a county in the state of Oregon in the United States with 103,069 residents, compared with 108,914 in 2005. The county seat is Albany . It is named after the politician Lewis F. Linn .

The county was incorporated on December 28, 1847. The name goes back to the physician and politician Lewis F. Linn .

According to the 2000 census , the county had 103,069 people. There were 39,541 households and 28,232 families. The population density was 17 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 93.20% white, 0.32% African American, 1.27% Native American, 0.78% Asian, 0.15% residents from the Pacific island area and 1.80% from others ethnic groups; 2.49% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 4.38% of the population.

Of the 39,541 households, 32.00% had children and adolescents under the age of 18 living with them. 56.90% were married couples living together, 10.00% were single mothers. 28.60% were not families. 23.00% were single households and 10.10% had someone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 3.01.

For the entire county, the population was composed of 26.00% residents under 18 years of age, 8.40% between 18 and 24 years of age, 27.00% between 25 and 44 years of age, 24.10% between 45 and 64 years of age 14.50% were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 97.50 males, and for every 100 females aged 18 and over there were 95.00 males.

The median income for a household in the county is $ 37,518 , and the median income for a family is $ 44,188. Males had a median income of $ 35,586 versus $ 24,073 for females.
