List of works of art in public space in Lower Austria / Waldviertel
The list of works of art in public space in Lower Austria contains the works of art in public space (Public Art) in Lower Austria listed and realized by Niederösterreich Kultur , if they are not only temporarily in public space. For technical reasons, all of the works of art are divided into four quarters. Here are the works of art in the Waldviertel including the Wachau north of the Danube.
Since the 1980s, artistic projects in public space have been created in Lower Austria. An expert jury recommends Austrian and international artists, designers and architects. Around 500 projects had been completed by the beginning of 2013. This art published in several volumes was documented until 2011 .

Manfred Weitgasser | 1990 | The installation is the meadow, without daisies, sloping up to the terrace of the extension building, to the walls of an old two-story tavern, which already represents the border to a new property. Over the flat roof 12 m above, which towers over about half of the terrace, the artist braces the luminous body with thin steel cables on the terrace floor. The lawn is sloping as an elongated triangle 3.65 mx 6.89 mx 7.66 m, under it is 2600 liters of earth. The luminous body is above him, and at a certain height the thing seems to float. Not a grafted-on sculpture, but competition in the interplay between building and luminous body and a meadow that appears for reasons that cannot be found. A quiet room, a gathering of lights over a covered meadow.
