List of referee appearances at the Super Bowl
The list of referee missions at the Super Bowl lists all referees who were used at a Super Bowl or an AFL-NFL World Championship Game.

The highest rated NFL referee for each position is selected to serve in the Super Bowl. The evaluation system is based on the grading of the decisions of the referees for the current season. However, only referees who have been active in the NFL for at least five years and have participated in the previous play-offs are allowed to compete in the Super Bowl .
However, this has not always been the case. From Super Bowl I to Super Bowl IV , where the Super Bowl was played by two leagues, the American Football League and the National Football League , the league consisted of three referees nominated by each league. At Super Bowl XXXVIII and Super Bowl XXXIX , the highest rated referee teams of the regular season were selected. This was in response to the high number of mistakes made by referees during the play-offs of the 2002 season , as the league believed that maintaining familiarity and cohesion among the referee teams could reduce the number of wrong decisions.

Note: Before Super Bowl XIII, the referee crew consisted of only six people. Starting with Super Bowl XXXIII, the position designations of the back judge and the field judge were swapped.
