The house was rebuilt in 1525–1527, and in 1620 it was confiscated as Protestant "rebel property" from Karl Jörger. In 1622 the house was acquired by Wilhering Abbey on the orders of Emperor Ferdinand II .

Identity address Herbert-Bayer-Platz 1. The building of the former people's kitchen is on Herbert-Bayer-Platz (on Prunerstraße) and with free sides also on Lederergasse and Eisenbahngasse. To the square, the building has a low porch and a gable front with a stepped, crenellated roof structure, triplet windows and circular hatch where a clock was provided. The stone coat of arms of the city of Linz is signed and dated G. Muher , 1926 . The ground floor windows are all barred, the three large pointed arch windows facing the Lederergasse are roofed with serrated iron crowns. The windows on the upper floors have a clinker brick frame .

Already in 1988 the Gansschen barn was converted into a people's kitchen on Lederergasse by the First Linz People's Kitchen Association , and in 1894 an extension on Prunerstraße. The current state was restored with a complete new facade by the architect and town planning director Curt Kühne in 1926. In doing so, he resorted to Gothic forms, leaning on the German brick Gothic with the clinker brick , but also used elements of Expressionism.

The building appears with an idiosyncratic facade from the second half of the 17th century, as an additional window axis is created by the recessed neighboring house. The striking arrangement of the windows with small center distances also contributes to this. The wide bay windows on column-supported consoles are also remarkable. Since 1771 the building has been known by the name "Zum Weißen Adler".

The building was built in 1700 by Losenstein's caretaker Franz Michael Greiner. In 1719 the Kremsmünster Abbey acquired the building from Abbot Alexander Straßer . The plans for the new building come from Jakob Prandtauer , while Franz Michael Pruckmayr was responsible for the construction.

The palace is a building block around a central courtyard with three similarly formed front sides. The facade is richly structured by coupled Tuscan wall pillars and interconnected window frames on the two upper floors. The accentuated central protrusion is crowned by a triangular gable.
