List of sacred buildings in Aachen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of religious buildings in Aachen contains the current public religious buildings , houses of worship and community centers of the most important in the area of the city Aachen -based faiths . On the other hand, smaller local prayer chapels and / or prayer rooms, mostly integrated in apartment blocks, schools, old people's homes and hospitals, which have the character of a meeting room, are not listed. In addition to the aforementioned school, hospital and senior citizens' home chapels, this includes, for example, the Catholic University Center Aachen , the Buddhist Center Aachen and the Al Imam Malik Mosque. In addition, those objects are listed in the section “profane sacred buildings” that have since been profaned or de-dedicated and put to a new use or are still to be used.

The basis for the list are the websites of the " Communities of the congregations in the Aachen-Stadt region", the "Evangelical parish of Aachen" in the Aachen church district and the " Working Group of Christian Churches in Aachen" as well as the evidence of the places of worship not listed in this list.
