coat of arms

Manderscheid coat of arms
Blazon : "In silver (white), split by a curled red tip, inside a silver (white) rooted pine, in front a black Latin cross , behind a black eight-spoke mill wheel."
Justification for the coat of arms: The colors silver and red are the colors of the Counts of Vianden , who had owned the Luxembourg rule of Neuerburg and thus Manderscheid since the 14th century . The black cross symbolizes the Manderscheider Hof district , the mill wheel stands for the Heilhauser Mühle district . Manderscheid (Celtic: mantara - pine) represents the pine as a talking coat of arms .

The coat of arms was designed by Christian Credner from Lambertsberg . The local community Manderscheid was granted permission by the local authority of the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm to use a municipal coat of arms on April 4, 2011.
