coat of arms
Blazon : "Shield divided nine times by silver and blue with a red bar cross, covered with a silver crown with golden stones" | |
Founding of the coat of arms: Lünebach was formerly part of the Pronsfeld court, which with its 22 villages was a condominium under the joint sovereignty of the Electorate of Trier and the Duchy of Luxembourg . Therefore, the Luxembourg colors (silver and blue) and the red cross of Kurtrier are in the coat of arms . The crown is an attribute of the parish patron saint St. Gertrud .
On December 13, 1965, the coat of arms was approved by the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of the Interior . |
