history
Min Buri was once a province, created in 1901 during the reign of King Chulalongkorn. This province consisted of Amphoe Khlong Sam Wa , Amphoe Saen Saep , Amphoe Nong Chok and Amphoe Jian Dab ( เจียร ดับ ). The name Min Buri ( fish town ) was chosen as a contrast to the already existing Thanyaburi ( rice town ).
An economic crisis in 1930-1931 caused the government to give up various organizations in order to reduce spending. That is why the area of the then Min Buri province was converted into the Bangkok district of Min Buri and Lat Krabang , as well as the district of Nong Chok of the Chachoengsao province . In 1957, part of a subdistrict from Lat Krabang to Min Buri was defeated. Finally, in 1957, the northern part of Min Buri was divided to form the new Khlong Sam Wa district.
