Din Daeng ( Thai ดินแดง , dīn dɛ̄ːŋ , "Red Earth") is one of the 50 Khet ("districts") in Bangkok , the capital of Thailand .

Din Daeng is one of the most densely populated districts in Bangkok, not least because of the numerous social housing that was built in the 1960s.
geography
Din Daeng is bounded in the north by Khlong Bangkhen and Khlong Namkaeo, in the east by Ratchadaphisek Road, in the south by Khlong Samsen Nai and in the west by Thanon Vibhavadi Rangsit (Vibhavadi Rangsit Road) or the Don high road above this road Mueang Tollway .
The neighboring districts are clockwise from the north: Chatuchak , Huai Khwang , Ratchathewi, and Phaya Thai .

Din Daeng District was established in 1993 when the eastern part of Phaya Thai was separated to form a new district.

The Bangkok Metro runs along the eastern border from Din Daeng to Huai Khwang. There are five stations in this district: Phra Ram 9, Thailand Cultural Center, Huai Khwang, Sutthisan and Ratchadaphisek.

In Din Daeng there is a sub-campus of the Technical University of Rajamangala Tawan-ok called Chakrabongse Bhuvanarth, the private university of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the University of National Defense .
