NGC 4037 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 39 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years across. Together with 126 other galaxies, it forms the NGC 4472 group ( LGG 292 ).
In the same area of ​​the sky is the galaxy NGC 4019 .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 8, 1784 .
