NGC 4021 is a compact elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E3 in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is an estimated 448 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4011 , NGC 4015 , NGC 4022 , NGC 4023 .
The object was discovered by Johan Dreyer on April 26, 1878 .
