NGC 4029 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 274 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on March 25, 1865 .
