NGC 4011 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 183 million light years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3999 , NGC 4000 , NGC 4005 , NGC 4015 .
The object was discovered by Johan Dreyer on April 26, 1878 .
