NGC 700 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 210 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light-years across. The galaxy is considered a member of the Abell 262 galaxy group .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 703 , NGC 704 , NGC 705 , NGC 710 .
The object was discovered by Bindon Blood Stoney on October 28, 1850 .
