NGC 703 is an elliptical radio galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 255 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years across. The galaxy is considered a member of the Abell 262 galaxy group .
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 704 , NGC 705 , NGC 708 , NGC 709 .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on September 21, 1786 .
