Ennecker Bruch nature reserve

The nature reserve Ennecker Bruch with a size of 5.8 hectares is located south of Oeventrop in the urban area of Meschede . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 1994 with the Meschede landscape plan. The NSG directly west of the B 7 .

Area description

The NSG is a grassland area with seepage springs, tall herbaceous areas and strips of wood. Rare animal and plant species are found in the NSG.

Protection purpose

The NSG is supposed to protect the grassland with its species inventory.

As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
