The Kolwederbach

The Kolweder Bachtal nature reserve with a size of 4.4 hectares is located north of Eversberg in the urban area of Meschede . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 1994 with the Meschede landscape plan.

Area description

The NSG is part of the Kolweder-Bachtal with grassland areas. Part of the grassland has fallen fallow. The grassland is partly wet or wet grassland.

Protection purpose

As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
