Prysk (German Preschkau ) is a municipality of the Okres Česká Lípa in the Liberec region in the north of the Czech Republic on the southern slope of the Lusatian Mountains . The community was named after a water source. ("Prýskající" = water jumping off).
geography
The place is located in the valley of the Pryský potok about five kilometers east of Česká Kamenice (Böhmisch Kamnitz) . The community, which tries to maintain its original appearance, is characterized by recreational opportunities and the production of glass .
history
The place was mentioned as Pryska in 1382. It is characterized by traditional glass production. Worth mentioning is the baroque church of St. Peter and Paul, the work of the architect Pietro Paolo Columbani, who is often found in Northern Bohemia, which is richly decorated inside and out with statues by A. Max (1763). Another work of art is the relief of the Madonna from the 18th century.
Districts
The municipality consists of the districts Dolní Prysk (Nieder Preschkau , also Niederpreschkau) , Horní Prysk (Ober Preschkau , also Oberpreschkau) and Vesnička (Füllerdörfel , also Füllerdorfel) . Basic settlement units are Dolní Prysk and Horní Prysk.
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Dolní Prysk and Horní Prysk.
