Olympic Winter Games 1984 / Participant (Austria)
- | - | 1 |
Austria took part in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo with 65 athletes (58 men and 7 women) in nine sports. The Austrian team won a single bronze medal by Anton Steiner in the downhill and wasonly 17thin the medal table.
For the winter sports nation Austria, which four years earlier in Lake Placid took sixth place in the medal table with seven medals, the result in Sarajevo was embarrassing. Sarajevo 1984 were the most unsuccessful winter games in the Olympic history of Austria.
