Péter Horváth (* 17th June 1972 in Pécs ) is a Hungarian Chess - Grandmaster .

Life

Horváth received the grandmaster title in 2006 , he had met the necessary standards in September 2001 at the Casino Open in Seefeld , in the Hungarian team championship 2003/04 and in July 2005 at the Villa de Benasque -Open in Benasque .

Horváth won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 1st place in the Statisztika tournament in Budapest (1996), I.-VI. 1st place at the Cseppkő Open in Aggtelek (1996), 1st place at the 17th Finkenstein Open Latschach (2001), 1st place at the FS12 GM tournament in Budapest (2002) and 1st place at the FS03 GM tournament , also in Budapest ( 2003).

In the top Hungarian league, the NB I. Szabó László csoport , Horváth played until 2007 with Nagykanizsa TSK (from 2006 Aquaprofit NTSK), with which he became Hungarian team champion in 2007 , in the 2011/12 season with Komáromi Városi Sakk Közhasznú Sportegyesület and in of the 2017/18 season at DVTK Sport Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság . In the German federal chess league Horváth played for SV Griesheim from 2012 to 2014 , and in the Austrian Bundesliga he played for SK Leoben in the 2006/07 season .
