Ralph Boschung
Ralph Boschung (born September 23, 1997 in Monthey ) is a Swiss automobile racing driver . He competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship from 2017 to 2019 .
Career
Boschung began his motorsport career in karting in 2008 , in which he remained active until 2011. 2012 changed Boschung in Formula racing and participated in the Formula BMW Talent Cup , a competition training of BMW part. He scored two wins and was fifth in the standings.
In 2013 Boschung switched to professional formula racing in the ADAC Formula Masters . He received a cockpit at KUG Motorsport . He won a race and was on the podium six times. He finished the season as the best driver in his racing team in seventh place. 2014 was embankment in the ADAC Formula Masters and advocated that of Motopark Academy supervised Lotus team on. He achieved eight podium finishes and at the end of the season was the third-best driver of the team, again in seventh place overall.
In 2015 Boschung switched to Jenzer Motorsport in the GP3 series . With a third place as the best result, he reached eleventh place overall. The GP3 Series 2016 denied Boschung for Koiranen GP . He achieved his first GP3 victory in the sprint race in Spielberg . Boschung's GP3 engagement ended prematurely due to financial problems. As in the previous year, he was overall eleventh.
In 2017 Boschung competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for Campos Racing . He finished the season with 11 points in 19th place in the championship. In 2018 he switched to MP Motorsport within Formula 2 , and finished 18th at the end of the season. On the sixth race weekend of the 2019 season he was replaced by Ryan Tveter and on the seventh by Dorian Boccolacci . He returned on the eighth race weekend. He was unable to take part in the tenth race weekend because his Trident Racing team had only one car available as a result of the accident a week earlier in which his team-mate Giuliano Alesi was involved.
