Career
society
Beginnings in Austria
Şahin-Radlinger started playing football at the age of five as a midfielder, but came to the U-15 from SV Ried, where he played from 2001 to 2009, not as a field player, but as a goalkeeper after the former goalkeeping coach Vlado Cvjetkovic him determined for this. Şahin-Radlinger previously played for the Austrian cup winner SV Ried in 2010/11 , but did not play a game in two years, and was loaned from there to the regional league team Union St. Florian , where he played 25 games in the regional league in the middle .
Hannover 96
For the 2011/12 season, Şahin-Radlinger moved to Hannover 96 . He received a contract valid until June 30, 2014 and was given the shirt with the number 21. Şahin-Radlinger made his debut in the second team of Hannover 96 in the fourth division against the second team of Hertha BSC on August 14, 2011, that was won 2-0. In the second team he was seeded and played 16 league games by the end of the 2011/12 season.
Because Markus Miller , the previous number 2 behind Ron-Robert Zieler , had himself inpatient treatment due to “mental exhaustion” and was absent for “an indefinite period”, Şahin-Radlinger rose to number 2. When Miller returned after eight weeks, Şahin-Radlinger also returned to Hannover 96 II , where, after some back and forth between the starting eleven and the bench, he prevailed as a regular goalkeeper and came regularly to play. In January 2013, Şahin-Radlinger suffered an injury to the medial meniscus , which was successfully operated on.
Loan to SK Rapid Vienna
In July 2013, Şahin-Radlinger signed a contract dated June 30, 2015 with the Bundesliga club Rapid Vienna . On December 15, 2013, he made his Bundesliga debut for 90 minutes in a 0-0 draw against SC Wiener Neustadt . After the 2013/14 season, Hannover 96 ended the two-year loan deal prematurely.
Loan to 1. FC Nürnberg
In July 2014, Şahin-Radlinger initially returned to Hanover. After both he and Markus Miller injured themselves in preparation, the clubless goalkeeper Robert Almer was committed until the end of the season , who subsequently became number two behind Ron-Robert Zieler . The Austrian then moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for 1. FC Nürnberg on loan until the end of the 2014/15 season . Although after the demotion of regular goalkeeper Raphael Schäfer, he was now number two at the club behind Patrick Rakovsky , but he was not used in the 2nd Bundesliga and played 14 times with the second team in the Regionalliga Bayern . After the end of the season he moved back to Hanover.
Return to Hanover
For the 2015/16 season , Şahin-Radlinger returned to Hannover 96. During his absence, Philipp Tschauner was signed by FC St. Pauli as the second goalkeeper behind Zieler, which is why Şahin-Radlinger only acted as number three of the Reds and was the regular goalkeeper for the second team in the Regionalliga Nord . On October 24, 2015 (14th matchday), he saw the red card in the final minutes due to an emergency brake and was suspended for two games. After Zieler's departure, Şahin-Radlinger became second goalkeeper behind Tschauner. He made his first competitive appearance for the professional team in the first round of the 2016/17 Cup when he beat Kickers Offenbach . On October 23, 2016, he made his league debut as a professional in the 2-0 defeat against 1. FC Nürnberg. In his second game, when the score was 2: 1, he saved a self-inflicted penalty in stoppage time and thus saved the 3-1 win against the Würzburger Kickers over time.
Loan to Brann Bergen
On January 30, 2018, it was awarded to Brann Bergen in Norway for the 2018 season , which ended on December 31, 2018 . Radlinger played 22 games between the posts and finished third with the team, which meant they entered the first qualifying round of the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League .
Again return to 96
He then returned to Lower Saxony and took part with the team at the winter training camp in Marbella . On the last matchday of the 2018/19 season , he made his only appearance in the Bundesliga under head coach Thomas Doll , when the relegation of Hannover 96 was already certain. After the season, Şahin-Radlinger left the club with the end of his contract.
Barnsley FC
For the 2019/20 season , Şahin-Radlinger joined the English second division club FC Barnsley . When he was promoted he met head coach Daniel Stendel , under whom he already played in Hanover. After his contract ended, he left the club during the current season in June 2020.
Return to Ried
For the 2020/21 season he returned to SV Ried, where he had once started his career.
National team
Şahin-Radlinger played once for the U-18 national team and once for the U-19 national team . Şahin-Radlinger was in the squad of the U-20 national team , for which he made his debut at the U-20 World Cup in Colombia in 2011 in a 0-0 win against the selection from Panama . In the second game of the World Cup against Brazil , Şahin-Radlinger was in goal, but Andreas Heraf's team lost 3-0. In the last game against Egypt he lost with the team 0: 4, so that the national team was eliminated from the tournament without goals. In this game too, Şahin-Radlinger was in goal.
In the Austrian U-21 team , he played for the first time on February 8, 2011 in a 6-0 win against the Luxembourg U-21s , when he came on for Heinz Lindner in the 46th minute . He also played in the 2-1 win against Norway on March 29, 2011.
