IC 809 = IC 3672 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy in the constellation Virgo north of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 7 million light years away from the Milky Way , has a diameter of about 3,000 ly and is listed under the catalog number VVC 1910 as part of the Virgo galaxy cluster .
The galaxies NGC 4607 , NGC 4621 , IC 3670 , IC 3684 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on May 6, 1888 .
