Williamsburg is a census-designated place (CDP) in Orange County in the US state of Florida with 7646 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Williamsburg is about 10 km south of Orlando . The CDP is traversed or touched by the International Drive and the Martin Andersen Beachline Expressway (SR 528, toll).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 7,646 inhabitants were distributed among 3,950 households. The population density was 804.8 inh / km². 82.6% of the population identified themselves as white , 4.0% as African American , 0.2% as Native American and 6.4% as Asian Americans . 3.6% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.2% to several ethnic groups. 17.2% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 20.0% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 35.2% of all households. 60.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.22 people and the average family size was 2.71 people.

16.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 26.1% were 20 to 39 years old, 29.6% were 40 to 59 years old, and 28.3% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 45 years. 48.2% of the population were male and 51.8% were female.

The median annual income was $ 49,323, with 9.2% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 82.61% of the population, 8.94% spoke Spanish and 8.45% had another mother tongue.
