Brâncoveneşti (formerly Ieciu and Delavrancea; Hungarian: Marosvécs, Hungarian pronunciation: [mɒroʃveːtʃ] or Vécs; German: Wetsch) is a commune in Mureş County, Romania.
The commune is composed of five villages: Brâncoveneşti, Idicel, Idicel-Pădure, Săcalu de Pădure and Vălenii de Mureş.
Within its area is the castle Marosvécs, which is the only castle to survive the Mongol Invasion of Hungary in 1241-42. At the time, it was referred to as Vécs. It guarded the salt mines of Gömör.
