André Ramalho Silva (born February 16, 1992 in Ibiúna , state of São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player who can be used universally on the defensive . He is under contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg .
Career
Beginnings in Brazil
André Ramalho was in Sao Paulo came to club football, before he EC São Bento and Palmeiras Sao Paulo to Red Bull Brasil went. He had previously taken an entrance test at Red Bull Brasil with 5,000 other young footballers from Brazil . Ramalho was chosen from these participants and was allowed to appear for the U-17 team of the club. At the beginning of the 2009 season, he rose to the first team and rose with them twice in a row to the Série A2 . In 2010 he was in the final of the Copa Paulista with the team from São Paulo , but had to admit defeat to Paulista FC . In January 2011, he and three other Red Bull Brasil players were invited to a trial training session at Red Bull Juniors Salzburg and two weeks later he was the first player to be transferred from the in-house academy in Brazil to Austria .
Change to Austria
After his arrival in Salzburg he was immediately ordered into the first team by coach Huub Stevens . For the first spring meeting against SV Mattersburg he was in the squad, but could only watch the game from the bench. With the Red Bull Juniors Ramalho won the championship of the Regionalliga West and the SFV-Stiegl-Cup . For the winter break of 2011/12 he was awarded to the cooperation partner USK Anif , who aimed for promotion to the first division , but ultimately failed.
After his return to RB Salzburg he was promoted to the combat team by the new trainer Roger Schmidt and from that point on he wore the number 5 on his back. In addition, he was available as a cooperation player for the farm team FC Liefering , formerly USK Anif, for the 2012/13 season .
He made his Bundesliga debut in the first round of the 2013/14 season against SC Wiener Neustadt . He played the entire 90 minutes in central defense. His performances in the following games made him, together with Martin Hinteregger, a regular player in Salzburg's central defense. In the fall he also scored three goals, which made him the most dangerous defender in the Bundesliga.
Move to Germany
For the season 2015/16 Ramalho joined the German Bundesliga to 04 Leverkusen Bayer . He signed a four-year contract. He made his competitive debut for Bayer Leverkusen on August 15, 2015 on the first day of the Bundesliga in a 2-1 home win against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , where he came on for Karim Bellarabi in the 90th minute .
For the 2016/17 season he was awarded to 1. FSV Mainz 05 and then returned to Bayer Leverkusen.
Return to Austria
In January 2018, Ramalho returned to Red Bull Salzburg, where he received a contract that runs until May 2022.
