The Apia International Sydney 2015 was a women's tennis tournament of the 2015 WTA Tour . The Premier category hard court tournament took place in Sydney from January 11 to 16, 2015 , at the same time as the WTA tournament in Hobart (category: International).

The top seed Simona Halep canceled her participation due to a gastrointestinal disease shortly before the start of the tournament.
