Bärbel Bolle
Bärbel Bolle (born August 24, 1941 in Parchim ; † March 21, 2015 in Berlin ) was a German actress who has worked in film, television and theater productions.
Life and accomplishments
After studying acting at the State Academy for Dramatic Art in Berlin-Niederschöneweide , she accepted an engagement at the Deutsches Theater in the eastern part of Berlin in 1962 , until the end of the 1990s. She played primarily in roles of young women (e.g. Gretchen in "Faust"), but also occasionally took over roles in film and television productions for DEFA and German TV broadcaster (DFF) , such as in Ulrich Thein's film The Other Next to You (1963) or in the fairy tale film Das Licht der Liebe (1991). She also worked at the Schaubühne Berlin, in Zurich and Düsseldorf (director: Andrea Breth ).
After a long absence from the stage, she brought Frank Castorf to the Volksbühne Berlin in 2009 . There she played in productions by Castorf and Pollesch and also at Heimathafen Neukölln (director: Andreas Merz-Raykov ). For her last performance she was on the big stage of the Volksbühne on January 16, 2015.
Bärbel Bolle leaves two daughters from his marriage to Manfred Karge , including the costume designer Jessica Karge.
She is buried in the cemetery of the Dorotheenstadt and Friedrichswerder communities in Berlin-Mitte.
