The B Grupa 1983/84 was the 35th season of the second highest Bulgarian football league. It started on August 20, 1983 and ended on June 2, 1984.

The 36 teams were geographically divided into two groups. They competed against each other twice on 34 match days, divided into a first round and a second half. The two group winners were promoted directly to the A Grupa , while the two runners-up were promoted through the play-offs. Eight teams were relegated from each group. The following season was run on a single track.
