The B Grupa 1982/83 was the 34th season of the second highest Bulgarian football league. It began on August 22, 1982 and ended on June 11, 1983.

The 36 teams were geographically divided into two groups. They competed against each other twice on 34 match days, divided into a first round and a second half. The two group winners were promoted directly to A Grupa , while two teams were able to advance through the play-offs. Two clubs were relegated from the north group and the last five teams from the south group.
