The Brandmoorwiesen are a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Garbsen in the Hanover region .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 113 is 28 hectares . It is located near Ricklingen Castle between Wunstorf and Garbsen in the Hanoverian Moorgeest , an ice age geest and ground moraine landscape. The " Ricklinger Entenpool " nature reserve is located a little to the northwest.
The "fire peat meadows" are a predominantly through grassland and forest embossed area on a dune ngelände, on the wet fen - and can be found dry sandy locations. In addition to alder and birch bog forests, there are bushes and pedunculate oaks - birch forests as well as individual old oaks.
The grassland areas are predominantly located on damp locations. Fallow grassland areas are equipped with extensive cattail stocks and Hochstaudenfluren and flutter rushes passed Riedern.
Numerous Schlatts can be found in the nature reserve , which are surrounded by pipe grass - peat moss vegetation. In silted Schlatts has Wollgras -Torfmoos- quaking formed. The area drains through ditches to the Leine .
The area has been a nature reserve since November 19, 1986. The lower responsible nature conservation authority is the Hanover region.
