Breakin 'Dishes is a song by the Barbadian singer Rihanna . It was produced by Christopher Stewart and written by him and Terius Nash for Rihanna's album Good Girl Gone Bad . Rihanna sang the song on her tours, among others: Glow in the Dark, Good Girl Gone Bad , Last Girl on Earth Tour and on the Loud Tour .

Breakin 'Dishes was produced and written by Christopher Stewart and Terius Nash . The song is the fourth track on the album. In terms of content, Breakin 'Dishes deals with a desperate wife who wants revenge on her husband.

The song was largely praised by music critics. Nick Levine of Digital Spy described the song as "pleasant" and "one of the most successful tracks on the album", according to him Breakin 'Dishes should be released as a single before Hate That I Love You and Take a Bow . Popjustice named the song "Single of the Day" from; they described the song as "amazing" and named it the best song on the album. According to them, the Spice Girls could also successfully release the title. Entertainment Weekly's Neil Drumming described the song primarily as "stronger" than previous album tracks. Sarah McIntyre praised the song for its "passionate" melody, as well as for the "excellent" lyrics . The St. Petersburg Times rated the title as a “trendy piece with a party touch”.

The song was an integral part of the Good Girl Gone Bad Tour and The Australians Sean Sennett described the performance of the song as a "highlight". Rihanna sang the song on her Glow in the Dark tour, wearing a dress with which Rihanna described herself as a "high-fashion-dominatrix-superhero". Rihanna also sang Breakin 'Dishes at the Summer Rush Festival in Nova Scotia , Canada in August 2007 and at the MTV Mobile Bang Concert in Milan , Italy in July 2008 . The song was also an integral part of the Last Girl on Earth Tour in 2010-2011 and the Loud Tour in 2011.

Cover versions and other uses

Gentleman Auction House covered Breakin 'Dishes for their Spring 2008 tour . Drag queen Dymond Dynasty sang the song and Rihanna's Umbrella sang the song at the University of Missouri in April 2008, on the fifth drag show. During the fourth season of the American dance show So You Think You Can Dance , Kherington Payne danced to Breakin 'Dishes . Izaak Smith and Kaitlyn Fitzgerald danced to Breakin 'Dishes on season one of the same dance show .

The song was not released as a single, but reached number 4 on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart through download sales in January 2008, where it became Rihanna's eighth top 5 success in a row. In 2009 the title was able to conquer fourth place again.
