Music of the Sun (en. For: "Music of the Sun" ) is Rihanna's debut album , which was recorded in 2005 and released on August 30 in the USA and on September 5 in Germany under her label Def Jam Recordings.
History and background
When she was 15, one of her best friends introduced Rihanna to producer Evan Rogers while on vacation in Barbados. Rogers and his partner Carl Sturken then enabled Rihanna to record demo material in the US, which was sent to various record labels , including Jay-Z , CEO of Def Jam Recordings, who signed her.
