Le Cambout is a French commune , in the Côtes-d'Armor and region of Brittany is. It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Brieuc and the canton of Loudéac . The place has 434 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Mayor (Maire) has been Jean-Noël Lagueux since 1995.

Le Cambout is the southernmost municipality in the Côtes-d'Armor department. It lies between 50 and 137 m above sea level , the mean height is 110 m. The municipality covers 18.02 km² (1,802 ha), and the population density is 29 people per km². The place can be reached via the department road D778, which runs past the place approx. 2 km to the west.

history

On January 13, 1866, the place was set up as a separate municipality on the basis of an imperial decree. Before that, the place was part of Plumieux. The chapel in the Château du Cambout was built as early as 1663.
