The Brack.ch Challenge League 2017/18 was the 120th season of the second highest Swiss division in men's football. Ten teams took part in the Challenge League. It began on July 21, 2017 with Neuchâtel Xamax's home game against FC Aarau (2-1) and ended on May 21, 2018 with the 36th matchday. From December 9, 2017 to February 1, 2018, it was interrupted by a winter break. Already after the 30th matchday, Neuchâtel Xamax was certain as champion and promoted player. The FC Wohlen decided already during the season for a voluntary descent for financial reasons.

The Challenge League was held for the sixth time with ten teams. Ten clubs competed four times against each opponent, twice at home and twice away. In total, each team played 36 games. The first placed rose to the Super League at the end of the season , the last placed into the Promotion League .
